I was born and grew up in Exeter and following school I spent 4 years at Exeter Art College. In 1979 I fulfilled my ambition and joined the police force in Kent. I spent 31 years in the force and was lucky enough to work with some fantastic people and work in every role I aspired to. I spent 10 years on Territorial Support and Armed Response. I then moved onto traffic and in the latter part of my service I was in the Fatal Crash unit. I retired in 2009 having found our ideal home in Cornwall. I have been married to Caroline for nearly 10 years and between us we have grown up children living all over the world!
Since moving to Cornwall I have worked with people of varying ages across the County who have drug and alcohol issues and found themselves homeless as a result. Working with White Gold I hope to have the opportunity to have a positive impact on the lives of those young people who may be struggling with challenges.
I enjoy most sports and in particular rugby, football and golf. We cycle when we can and enjoy anything to do with the outdoors
