My name is David Kershaw I have lived in Cornwall for 18 months having previously lived in Oldham and Rochester – an interpreter is being required less often now!
I have experience of working with vulnerable people with autism, mild learning disabilities and mental health issues. In White Gold we are aware that mental health of young people in Cornwall is a current area of concern. I was delighted when given the chance to work for White Gold as I am passionate about giving children and young people support when they do not have the same opportunities as many others.
My hobbies are learning to surf, I run for Hayle club, I cycle and help coach young children from surrounding schools in Hayle. I have just recently acquired an allotment plot to grow my own veggies – this could be a disaster but we’ll see!
