Alan Milliner is pleased to announce that in its first year, White Gold Cornwall has achieved well placed listings in the nationally acclaimed Royal Bank of Scotland Social Enterprise Index 100 known as the RBS SE100. Alan said “as a new social enterprise here in Cornwall that aims to bring social value by working with challenging young people in Cornwall, its great to see that we have been nationally recognised”
The RBS SE 100 index aims to forge a better understanding of the pioneering organisations that are involved in socially enterprising activity across the UK. Created by social innovation agency Matter&Co in partnership with RBS four years ago, the RBS SE100 Index has relaunched this year with a brand new web platform. It will be a a powerful source of market intelligence, and a valuable tool for individual organisations which are using an enterprise model to deliver their social mission, to help them manage and build success.
Alan said “ White Gold Cornwall has been measured against a set criteria to ensure that as an organisation we are delivering what we have set out to do. It is very pleasing to see that in terms of our overall performance as a social enterprise we have achieved 35 out of 767 companies nationally listed.
The good news does not stop there, we are placed 11th in the South West Region, 9th in our sector (Working with young people) and finally 6th for the social impact of our work. This is great news for our team and all the hard work that goes in, it also opens the door for us to bid for additional funding in order that we can increase and improve what we deliver here in Cornwall.
Now that we are up and running and have been nationally recognised, there is no room for complacency, I want to take White Gold Cornwall higher in the listings by improving what we deliver and the positive impacts of our work in the coming years. I would like to thank all my team and all our partners for their continued support for White Gold Cornwall”
